Study of effect of H2 on CTOD for API 5Lx 70 & API 5LX 80 Steels

Structural integrity of API pipelines in presence of defects under Hydrogen environment.

Deliverables:

• Comparison of two strength level API steels with respect to fracture toughness and its deterioration in hydrogen environment.
• Fracture surface susceptibility of different regions of weld joints for the selected API grades.
• Establishing micromechanics of fracture in air and hydrogen environments.
